Updated: Aug 18, 2023

The Reno series of smartphones by Oppo is renowned for its exceptional camera performance, and this year, the company has introduced its latest Reno 10 lineup for 2023 in India. At an event held in New Delhi, Oppo unveiled the Oppo Reno 10 5G, Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G, Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ 5G, and the Oppo Enco Air 3 Pro TWS Earbuds. In this article, we will provide an in-depth analysis of our initial impressions of the Oppo Reno 10 5G.

The Oppo Reno 10 5G will be offered in two attractive color options, namely Ice Blue and Silvery Grey. It will be available in two variants: one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and another with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. As of now, Oppo has not disclosed the pricing details, but the phone is set to go on sale on July 20. The design of the Oppo Reno 10 5G showcases glossy chrome side rails that seamlessly blend with the back panel, along with a curved-edge display. On the right side of the device, the volume buttons and power key are conveniently located, while the bottom houses the USB Type-C charging port, microphone, speaker grille, and SIM slot. The top of the phone features an IR blaster and an additional microphone for noise cancellation. The back panel of the Oppo Reno 10 5G flaunts a matte finish that exhibits an alluring shift in color hues when viewed from various angles. It's worth noting that the camera module slightly protrudes, which may cause slight instability when the phone is placed on a flat surface.

The camera system of the Oppo Reno 10 5G is one of its standout features. It boasts a triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 32-megapixel telephoto camera equipped with the Sony IMX709 sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The camera interface retains the familiar Oppo style, ensuring a user-friendly experience for those familiar with the brand.

The Oppo Reno 10 5G is equipped with a stunning 6.7-inch curved-edge AMOLED display that offers a high 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 950 nits. The display is not only visually pleasing but also highly responsive, providing an enjoyable viewing experience for multimedia content. Additionally, the display incorporates an in-display fingerprint sensor for convenient and secure unlocking.

Another noteworthy aspect of the Oppo Reno 10 5G is its impressive battery capacity. With a substantial 5,000mAh battery, the phone is able to provide ample power throughout the day, even with intensive usage. Furthermore, it supports 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, ensuring that the battery can be quickly replenished when needed. Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 10 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and runs on Oppo's ColorOS 13.1, which is based on the latest Android 13 operating system.

To summarize, the Oppo Reno 10 5G is a premium smartphone that combines a sleek design with remarkable features. With its impressive camera system, captivating display, and generous storage options, it offers a compelling package for consumers. However, the ultimate success of the Oppo Reno 10 5G will depend on its pricing, which has yet to be announced, and how well it resonates with potential buyers in the competitive smartphone market.
